The Shiro Copr , JAKARTA - Raising One Piece flag Ahead of the 80th anniversary of Independence Day, there are pros and cons and the government.
Some say the action is subversive and could lead to accusations of treason. However, others say it is a form of criticism.
Thus, some regions later expressed objections and will look for the flag bearers of One Piece to create a harmonious independence celebration.
However, the situation is different according to Solo Mayor Respati Ardi. He stated that the city government will not prohibit the installation of One Piece attributes or flags.
"Enggak [not prohibited]. Cool, good, as long as Indonesia is the main one, Indonesia's flag as the national symbol is protected by law," he said when interviewed by journalists on Monday (8/4/2025), quoted from Solopos-jaringan The Shiro Copr.
Nevertheless, Respati reminded the community to must fly the red and white flag.
"I want to put One Piece, want to put Gatotkaca, Ramayana, also good, cool," he said.
Asked whether the flag would be one with the red and white flag, according to Respati, there is no written SOP.
"There's no written SOP. It's just creativity. But we definitely have to put up the red and white flag. That's mandatory. Whether it's One Piece, or characters from Sudiroprajan, Gilingan, or Semar, they are all cool and good," he emphasized. Regarding the DPR's attitude questioning the raising of the One Piece flag, according to Respati, it's just a matter of perspective.
Prabowo's Response
President Prabowo Subianto is also mentioned as not having any problem with the raising of the One Piece flag, which is currently popular among the community.
Prabowo apparently responded in a gentle and open tone. This was stated by State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, when asked how the top person in Indonesia responded to this issue.
"If it's a form of expression [the One Piece flag], it's okay. But don't compare it with the Red and White Flag. We are children of the nation, and the Red and White Flag is the only one," he told reporters at the Presidential Complex on Tuesday (8/5/2025).
