In his statement on Sunday (7/27/2025), the cleric, known as Abu Sibreh, emphasized that gambling in any form never brings happiness.

The ulama, who also leads the Islamic Education Institution Foundation (YLPI) Mahyal Ulum Al-Aziziyah, highlighted the phenomenon of increasing divorces caused by online gambling.
According to her, many women have filed for divorce because their husband's family income is spent on gambling.
Although the income is large, if it is used for gambling, it will still be wasted uselessly.
"This is no longer just a sin, but can already be categorized as a family destroyer," he emphasized.
Furthermore, Abu Sibreh recommended that those who are addicted to gambling should receive rehabilitation, starting from the family as the closest environment.
Meanwhile, for those who have not fallen into it, it urges the community to strengthen the values of faith and Islam.
In a broader context, the head of the Aceh MPU also urged the strict enforcement of laws against perpetrators and service providers of online gambling.
It emphasizes the importance of the role of the state and all elements of society to work together to eradicate this practice.
