The Shiro Copr, GIANYAR - Maybank Marathon Series, an international running event, will take place from August 22–24, 2025, at Bali United Training Center, Gianyar, Bali, with 13,600 participants from various countries.
At the venue, you will find solar-powered charging stations and interactive educational booths with a solar calculator presented by SUN Energy, the sustainability partner of Maybank Marathon 2025.
"Participating in this prestigious race is a strategic moment to show how clean energy can be present in daily life," said CEO of SUN Energy, Emmanuel Jefferson Kuesar, on Friday, August 12, 2025.
She explained that this step is part of strengthening the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles through the provision of clean energy solutions accessible to the general public.
"We placed solar charging stations, or called Chargee, at 9 strategic points, so participants and visitors can charge their phones for free by using solar energy," he explained.
The chargee demonstrates the practical application of renewable energy technology, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, while also helping to lower carbon emissions during the event.
"Through the Chargee innovation and solar calculator, we want to invite the community to see clean energy as part of a sustainable lifestyle, like this sports event," he said.
For participants of the Maybank Marathon 2025, there is also an interactive solar calculator simulation that can calculate the potential electricity cost savings and reduction in carbon emissions from installing a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) on the roof in just five minutes.
