According to RTI data, at 09.02 WIB, the IHSG was moving at 7,886.70, or down 11.66 points (0.15 percent) compared to the previous closing level of 7,898.37.

Along with that, the yield of Government Securities (SUN) has also reached 6.37 percent. Although full of volatility, IHSG and the bond market have shown their performance.

Among the sentiments that need attention are the potential for peace between Ukraine and Russia, which is currently ongoing. In addition, an agreement between the US and China is also expected to be achieved within 90 days.

Meanwhile, the stable US inflation with potential to rise is overshadowed by stable employment data that tends to weaken.

Another sentiment to note is the potential for a decrease in the US Federal Reserve's benchmark interest rate in September.

Rupiah

As for the exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar in the spot market this morning has weakened.

According to Bloomberg data, at 09.08 WIB, the rupiah was at a level of Rp 16,230 per US dollar, or weakened 0.19 percent compared to the previous closing of Rp 16,198.5 per US dollar.

Currency analyst from Doo Financial Futures, Lukman Leong, said that the rupiah is expected to weaken against the US dollar.

The reason is that the US dollar started to rebound due to expectations of a hawkish speech from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell in several occasions this week.

Meanwhile, some of the most anticipated ones are the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) statements from The Fed and speeches from Jackson Hole.

"Today's Rupiah exchange rate range is between 16,150-16,250," he said.
