Ahmad Dhani openly revealed the reason for divorcing Maia Estianty.

Instead of mentioning Mulan Jameela's figure, Ahmad Dhani actually mentioned his reason related to religion.

Ahmad Dhani indirectly broke the public's stigma that considered Mulan as the cause of her marriage's collapse with Maia Estianty.

That was revealed by Ahmad Dhani when he was a guest on Denny Sumargo's podcast a while ago.

The founder of Dewa 19 said that Maia Estianty's behavior as a wife in Islamic jurisprudence should indeed be divorced.

"If in Islamic jurisprudence, what Maia did makes the husband obligated to divorce her. That's the fact," said Ahmad Dhani.

Based on Islamic fiqh teachings, Ahmad Dhani finally decided to divorce Maia Estianty religiously in 2006.

"So, I had to divorce Maia. That's why in 2006 I divorced her because it was necessary," said Ahmad Dhani.

Unfortunately, it is unknown what problem or behavior of Maia Estianty required her former husband to divorce her.

Ahmad Dhani Dares to Mention Maia Estianty's Marriage

It is known that the conflict has resurfaced between Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty.

After Al Ghazali's marriage, the relationship between Maia Estianty and Ahmad Dhani is heating up again.

Ahmad Dhani suddenly made two videos on his YouTube channel about Maia Estianty.

In his video, Ahmad Dhani accused Maia of slandering him and Mulan Jameela.

Although she has posted two videos about herself, Maia seems not to have responded.

Ahmad Dhani then made a big deal about it on Denny Sumargo's podcast after getting a response from his ex-wife.

In a discussion on Denny Sumargo's YouTube channel CURHAT BANG, Dhani pointed out Maia's attitude, which he considers still often brings up the past, even though she is now married and claims to be happy with Irwan Mussry.

According to Dhani, if Maia's current family life is truly happy, there would be no need to bring up past stories, especially those related to their relationship.

She even expressed quite surprised because, despite the happiness that is often displayed, Maia still found time to touch on old matters.

The conversation arose when Denny asked about the reason Dhani made a compilation video highlighting Maia's controversial statements.

Responding to this, Dhani not only discussed Maia, but also involved Irwan Mussry, hoping that her husband could play a role in stopping Maia's habit of bringing up the past.

"I'm hoping that my better husband (Irwan Mussry) can tell Maia to stop talking about the past, or stop gossiping about the previous marriage, and stop spreading rumors about many things," said Dhani.

Dhani then threatened Maia if she continued doing it.

In fact, Dhani has evidence that Maia Estianty once cheated on him when they were still married.

"Because if not, I will release even worse evidence. Evidence where Maia signed that she had a relationship with a man," he said.

According to Dhani, so far, he has been patient enough with Maia's comments in the media and social media.
