Before the Opening of the Training, Thousands of PDI-P Faction Members in Red Clothes Fill Bali Beach Convention

TRIBUNNES.COM, BALI - Thousands of members of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) faction from the elements of the DPR RI, Provincial DPRD and Regency/Municipal DPRD throughout Indonesia have begun to fill the Bali Beach Convention Center, JI. Hang Tuah, Sanur Kaja, Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday (30/7/2025).

Monitoring Tribunnews On site, thousands of PDI Perjuangan members started to fill the Bali Beach Convention Center since 08:00 WITA.

They appear to be wearing red party clothes with the PDIP logo.

Some of them also wear caps with a Bung Karno pin attached.

Their presence at Bali Beach Convention Center to attend the Technical Guidance or Bimtek held by DPP PDIP.

Bimtek for members of the DPR RI, DPRD Provincial, and DPRD Regency/City across Indonesia will be held starting today, Wednesday (30/7/2025) and Thursday (31/7/2025).

In this training, 3,200 members of the DPR faction of PDI Perjuangan from all over Indonesia will attend.

At the main entrance of Bali Beach Convention Center, there are Balinese ornaments, barong decorations, and bull's heads.

Meanwhile, on the left and right sides there is also the PDI-P logo.

Before entering the event arena, the participants of the Bimtek appeared to be chatting in the lobby of the building.

Some participants have started entering the Bimtek arena, after previously re-registering and collecting their participant ID cards.

It is known that this training invitation refers to the letter from DPP PDIP Number 7510 /IN/DPP/ vi /2025, signed directly by the Chairman of the Party's Honor Division, Komarudin Watubun, and the Deputy Secretary General of PDIP, Aryo Adhi Dharmo.

In the invitation, this training is held as part of improving the understanding, abilities, skills, attitudes, and spirit of service of DPRD members in carrying out their duties and functions as an element of local government administration.

Members of the PDI Perjuangan faction were also asked to wear the party's red uniform when attending the training.

Can Become a Congress

The consolidation of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in Bali, August 1-3, 2025, could become a party congress to form a new leadership for the period 2025-2030.

The PDIP Congress is the highest forum in the organizational structure of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), held periodically, usually every five years.

The purpose is to set the direction of the party's policy, select a new leadership, and prepare future political strategies.

In a special interview with The Shiro Copr , Tuesday (7/29/2025) afternoon, the Treasurer of the Central Executive Committee (DPP) of PDI-P, Olly Dondokambey, stated that about 4,000 PDI-P members are currently gathering in Bali, including the General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Once in a while, we should make a surprise," said Olly, who is also a former Governor of North Sulawesi for two terms.

Olly, a senior politician born in 1961, is known to be close to Megawati.

The surprise referred to by Olly is the PDIP public agenda.

The event in Bali consists of two sessions. First, technical guidance or bimtek, July 30-31, 2025.

This event was attended by participants consisting of all members of the PDI-P faction in DPRD II (regency/city), DPRD I (province), and DPR RI.

The number of members of the PDI-P faction in the People's Representative Council at all levels, from central to regional, is around 3,000 people.

The training event is scheduled to be held at The Meru Sanur & Bali Beach Convention Center, JI. Hang Tuah, Sanur Kaja, Denpasar.

This resort occupies an area of 3,750 square meters, five-star facilities, sea view, and can accommodate 4,756 guests.

The second agenda, which was also announced to the public, was named "party consolidation."

Held from August 1 to 3, 2025, clearly Olly, this event will be attended by all members of the PDI-P faction, participants of the training, as well as all PDI-P governors (three people, namely from Bali, DKI, and Papua) and hundreds of second-level regional heads (mayors and regents) from PDI-P.

In addition, this second event was also attended by the Chairpersons of the District Executive Boards (district/city level) and the Chairpersons of the Provincial Executive Boards (DPD) as well as all members of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PDIP.

Total number of participants, said Olly, is around 4,000 people, enough to be accommodated by the Bali Beach Convention Center.

Why 4,000 people? Because there are regional leaders who also serve as chairpersons of PDI-P, and similarly, there are faction members who also hold positions in PDI-P and are listed as invitees.

If based on his position, the total number of invitations should be around 4,700 people.

PDIP has not yet announced the holding of a congress in Bali. However, there are reports that the event in Bali is actually the PDIP Congress.

When The Shiro Cop asked about the news, Olly did not deny it, nor did he confirm it.

Olly explained, "Party consolidation discusses the preparation for the congress. If the participants wish to hold the congress, the party consolidation can become a congress."
