The Shiro Copr - New facts about the death of diplomat Arya Daru Pangayunan (39) in a dormitory room in Menteng, Central Jakarta, have been obtained by the National Police Commission (Kompolnas).

This new fact came to light when Commissioner Kompolnas Mohammad Choirul Anam visited the house of Arya Daru's family in Yogyakarta not long ago.

According to Choirulk Anam, this new fact has never been revealed or debated in the public before.

"We were given new information that has not yet been discussed in the general debate, and we must investigate it, further explore it later by conducting a site inspection, including with the Polda Metro Jaya," said Choirul Anam in his statement on Sunday (7/20/2025).

Anam does not want to explain in detail the new facts obtained from the family of the diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She only ensured the new information about the victim's activities, either on the day of the event or the days before the diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was killed.

"Then, we also move the background of various activities of the late person to the past, to important times, and we find something new there, which becomes clearer and clearer over time," said Anam.

Kompolnas also deepened the police findings regarding the items at the location where ADP died.

"We thoroughly examined the items related to the event, how the items were, and how the items relate to the event," said Anam.

In addition, the Kompolnas also tried to find out the background of ADP from his family.

This is important to reveal the cause of the death of the diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Thirdly, it is about the background or the late person's environment, how their daily activities were, their job, and how this late person personally interacted with others in the existing environment," said Anam.

In other aspects, the Polda Metro Jaya investigators have already questioned five witnesses related to this case.

Of the five witnesses examined, one of them is the victim's wife, named MAP.

In addition, the police also questioned two colleagues of Arya Daru and the first person who found the victim's body, the dormitory guard.

The examination of the witnesses was conducted to determine Arya Daru's last activities before he was found dead.

"First, the initials VD or a colleague of the victim ADP. Then the second one is the initials DMS, who is a colleague of ADP. The third one is the initials S or the roommate," said Kasubbid Penmas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak, Sunday (20/7/2025).

"Fourth is FM, he is a friend or roommate of the ADP victim, and the fifth is MAP or the wife of the ADP victim," he added.

Reonal said that the investigators from Subdit Resmob of Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya are still waiting for the results of the forensic laboratory (labfor) examination of Arya's body.

According to him, the labfor examination results will be received by the investigator in about six days.

"It's still six days left because the lab examination indeed requires a minimum of two weeks," he said.

Previously, Arya was found dead in his dorm room in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/8/2025) morning.

The victim's face was wrapped in tape, and the bedroom door was locked from inside with a smart lock system, which can only be accessed by Arya.

CCTV recordings show the victim's last activity was recorded on Monday night around 23:24 WIB.

She was seen leaving the room carrying a plastic bag, then went back in. The next morning, the dormitory guard forced open the window of the upper room at the request of the victim's wife, who had been unable to contact her husband since early morning.

From the incident location, the police seized a number of evidence items, including tape, plastic bags, a wallet, a pillow, trousers cover, and the victim's clothing.

4. New Findings from Video Recordings

Previously, it was also revealed the fact from the moments of finding Arya Daru's body which had already been wrapped in tape.

These four new facts emerged from video recordings made by a man in glasses, who is suspected to be Arya Daru's neighbor.

1. The dorm keeper holds the main key

In a close-up recording aired in the Primetime News program of Metro TV on Thursday (7/17/2025), it was revealed that Siswanto was holding the main electronic card of Arya Daru's room.

With this main card, Siswanto tried many times to open Daru's room door.

She has stuck several times, but her efforts did not bear fruit.

It was seen that Siswanto also tried to knock on the door, but there was no response from inside.

2. Suspicious movement of the curtains

The second fact shows that Siswanto tried to pry open Daru's window with two screwdrivers.

It is during the window cleaning that the suspicious movement of the curtain is seen.

When the end of the screwdriver entered the window, suddenly the curtain appeared to be detached from the window.

It is suspected that the curtain was intentionally used to hold the window from the inside.

There is no significant obstacle in this case.

The window is not visible from the inside of the grendel because it is very easy to pry open.

3. Double locked door

When the window was successfully opened, Siswanto called out Daru's name.

"Pak Daru... Pak Daru," called Siswanto while continuing to open the door from inside.

"The door is still locked," said Siswanto to this glasses-wearing man.

Then, this glasses-wearing man tried to peek through the door from inside.

"Oh, this might be," the man said while trying to open it.

It turned out that Arya Daru's room door was double locked, both electronically and manually.

At that time, this glasses-wearing man saw that the door lock was still locked.

She opened it.

4. Arya Daru is thought to be asleep

After the door opened, Siswanto tried to enter, but did not make it inside.
