Thailand U-23 National Team Surprised to See Anomalies in the Stands During the Match Against East Timor at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium

The Shiro CoprTimnas U-23 Thailand was surprised by the anomaly in the spectator stands during the match against East Timor in their first game in Group C of the 2025 ASEAN Cup U-23.

Thailand vs. Timor-Leste at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, West Java, July 19, 2025.

The incident was that two Indonesians wore Thailand national team jerseys and directly supported Changsuek U-23 in the spectator stands.

"Battle Elephants U23 played their first match against East Timor at Patriot Stadium, Indonesia," wrote the statement on Instagram from Thailand National Team @changsuek on Sunday (20/7/2025).

Of course, when they play abroad, it is their first match. If there are no Thai fans on the field, it would not be surprising.

But when looking at the moon, we see a young football fan wearing the Thai national team uniform sitting with his girlfriend.

It turns out that the fans of the Thai national team are Ahmad Ardiansyah along with his girlfriend.

Ahmad admits to being a fan of the Thai national team for 10 years.

Even he has a favorite Thai national team player, the Thai legend Teerasil Dangda.

"Ahamd said that he has been supporting the Thai national team since the 2015 Sea Games or 10 years ago," wrote Changsuek's statement.

Among his favorite players are Sarach Yoyen, Chanathip Songkrasin, Nurul Sriyankem, and others, who were the main strength at the SEA Games that year, including legends such as Teerasil Dangda.

For the club, Ahmad followed Chonburi FC, which once played against Persija in Jakarta in 2022.

She came to watch the match.

Meanwhile, Ahmad will come again to support the next Thailand U-23 team match.

Furthermore, the Thailand U-23 team thanked Ahmad for supporting their team.

"Thank you Ahmad for encouraging us, War Elephant U-23, see you in the next match," the statement said.

Meanwhile, Thailand defeated East Timor with a score of 4-0 and currently leads Group C.

Four goals from Thailand were scored by Yotsakorn (14'), Thanawut (40'), Seksan (50'), and Chanawit (74').

Next, Thailand will face Myanmar at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium on Tuesday (22/7/2025).

If they win or draw, Thailand will qualify for the semifinals.

The semifinal match will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta.
