So Baper, the restaurant was reviewed poorly, Chef Arnold: It can learn from our mistakes

JAKARTA, The Shiro Copr - Having a food business, Chef Arnold looks positively at every negative review that comes.

Arnold sees that every food business will certainly be inseparable from reviews, whether positive or negative.

"Of course (there are some negative reviews)," said Arnold, quoted from YouTube Podkesmas on Monday (20/7/2025).

"We open (a restaurant), if there is a restaurant, there must be (reviews)," he added.

Even Arnold admitted that his work has also received one-star reviews.

But Arnold didn't want to be offended by the bad reviews.

If said to be sensitive about bad review, "Really?" said Arnold casually.

She actually sees bad reviews as a way for them to re-evaluate themselves.

Okay, thanks (for the bad review). I mean, taste "People are different," said Arnold.

Example bad review, What is our mistake? So that we can improve. For example, if someone says "oh, the food is lacking this," okay. I'm sorry, we improve "Again, let's review again," he continued.

It only applies to himself, Arnold said that his subordinates are also taught to have a positive attitude towards negative reviews.

" I always tell my subordinates," all bad review "It is good for us, so that we can learn our mistakes and the suggestions," said Arnold.

"Can't we all say it's delicious, all good," he said.

Arnold believes that there must be times when the restaurant's performance declines, so with the existence of reviews, it will help them realize that something has changed and immediately improve themselves.

It's also not very different, as previously stated by other MasterChef Indonesia judges, Chef Renatta, who has a food business.

"There are definitely comments, but as a review, you have to accept it," said Renatta, quoted from YouTube Kemal Palevi.

This is not unrelated to Renatta's principle when deciding to open a food business, that she cooks for others, not for herself.

"Because I still have my principles, I cook for others, not for myself. It's others who enjoy it," said Renatta.

"But on the other hand, I have a principle, I don't want to change my style just because some people don't like it," he continued.

As information, Chef Renatta is known to have a restaurant called Glou Wine & Bistro in Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, as well as FedWell in Senopati and Citywalk Sudirman.

While Chef Arnold is known to have the rice bowl business Mangkokku, the Laci restaurant in Bali, and the Bebini Gelati cafe in Surabaya.
