Irsyaad W July 21st, 9:05 AM July 21st, 9:05 AMThe Shiro Copr - Citizens should not hesitate or be afraid to report if they become victims of extortion by police during the 2025 Operation Patuh.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin, asked the community to report if they find extortion during police road checks.
"Let the public report directly to me when there are unprofessional actions, whether during operations or not," said Komarudin when contacted, (7/15/25), quoted from Kompas.com.
The public can contact the Service and Complaints Office of the Directorate of Traffic, Polda Metro Jaya, through the number 0812-5011-0110.
"I ensure that every behavior of the staff that undermines the spirit of professionalism will be processed," he said.
Nevertheless, in pre-operative training, officers are always emphasized not to have any deviant behavior that harms the police institution.
On the other hand, manual tickets have reappeared during Jaya Operation, even though Polda Metro Jaya has abolished their application within its jurisdiction.
This is visible in several photos uploaded in the X TMC Polda Metro Jaya account.
In the photo, the police are seen recording a motorcyclist's violation in the ticket book.
Komarudin explained that Polda Metro Jaya indeed prioritizes the use of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), both stationary and mobile, in implementing Operation Patuh Jaya 2025.
One of the targets in Operation Jaya 2025 is violating the traffic flow.
"No for road sections not covered by ETLE, whether stationary or mobile, conventional ticketing and manual tickets must be carried out," said Komarudin.
"Ya, if everything relies on ETLE, then it won't be covered. Because ETLE is only installed on certain road sections," he added.
Therefore, Komarudin emphasized that their party will continue to apply manual tickets in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya during this 2025 Operation Patuh Jaya.
"Actually, our law enforcement concept is no longer stationary, but mobile or hunting system," he said.
Thus, the police only target a number of points where violations often occur according to their operational targets.
"For example, the case of underage children driving. Because it's impossible for underage children to drive on (the) protocol road," he said.
"No, this targets the peripheral areas not covered by static or mobile (ETLE)," he continued.
