The Shiro Copr - Some people wonder what the electricity tariff per kWh is for the subsidized and non-subsidized groups that are in effect from July 21 to 27, 2025?
The electricity tariff valid for the next week still follows the determination of the third-quarter electricity tariff (July, August, and September) 2025 issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
Subsidy groups include social customers, poor households, small businesses, small industries, as well as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
While non-subsidized groups include households, businesses, industries, as well as government facilities and street lighting.
Electricity tariff per kWh for subsidized and non-subsidized from July 21 to 27, 2025
The government set the electricity tariff for the third quarter, Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 7 Year 2024 concerning the electricity tariff provided by PT PLN (Persero).
Based on these rules, electricity tariff adjustments for non-subsidized customers are made every three months, referring to the changes in the realization of macroeconomic parameters, namely exchange rate, Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and Benchmark Coal Price (HBA).
Nevertheless, electricity tariffs have not changed since the first quarter (January, February, and March) of 2025.
Director of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Jisman P. Hutajulu said the government continues to maintain electricity tariffs to provide certainty for business actors and the community in carrying out their activities.
She hopes that business people and the community will not be worried about electricity cost fluctuations that can affect production costs and purchasing power.
"To support the momentum of national economic growth, and to increase community purchasing power as well as industrial competitiveness, the fixed tariff for the third quarter of 2025 has been decided, as long as otherwise determined by the government," said Jisman in an official statement received.
