The thief, initials AB, is a resident of Jetis Village, Besuki District, Situbondo Regency, East Java.

The 42-year-old man was no match when he was apprehended by Polsek Besuki and the Resmob western region team.

In his actions, the slippery perpetrator was involved in seven cases of motor vehicle theft.

Among them in the village of Jetis, Village of Widoropayung, Kalimas Village, Besuki District, and three locations in Sumbertengah Village, Bungatan District, Situbondo, East Java.

That is, seven motorcycles, one amplifier, one air compressor, cash money of Rp 21.5 million, 15 grams of gold bracelet, seven gemstone rings, one speaker, one mobile phone, and one crowbar.

Subdistrict Police Chief Besuki ACP H Abdullah confirmed the arrest of the suspect in the motorbike theft case.

"Yes, one suspect in the motorcycle theft case," he said.

According to him, for the handling process of the investigation and examination, the suspect along with was transferred to the Situbondo District Police Criminal Investigation Department.

"The perpetrator has already been taken to the police station," he said.

The Criminal Investigation Division (Reskrim) of Situbondo Police Station (Polres) confirmed the transfer of a suspect in motorcycle theft from Besuki Police Station (Polsek) and the western region Buser team of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim).

The disclosure and arrest, Agung said, began from the results of the investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Besuki Sub-District Police, which was also developed by the Resmob team, related to a report of motorcycle theft from April to June 2025.

"From the investigation, the perpetrator was finally successfully apprehended by us on Thursday (17/06/2025)," he said.

Agung explained that they are still continuously developing, as they do not rule out the possibility of being involved in similar cases in other areas.

"The temporary recognition acknowledged by seven TKP, we will continue to develop it," he asserted.

In addition, he continued, they urge and ask the public to always be more careful and vigilant.
