Galatasaray's Amazing Transfer Details with Osimhen: Dig into Pocket of 1.4 Trillion Rupiah, Ready to Protect the Star with Anti-Italy Clause

The Shiro Copr - Galatasaray officially acquired striker Victor Osimhen in a permanent deal after a prolonged transfer process with Napoli. However, there is an unusual clause in the details of the transfer.
Galatasaray has completed negotiations with Napoli for several weeks, and they finally concluded the talks after agreeing on a deal for the Nigerian player.
Osimhen will spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances for the club, and he will now return to the Turkish giant on a permanent deal after rejecting a 160 million euro contract offer from Saudi Arabia.
The 26-year-old player is expected to travel to Istanbul on Tuesday (7/22) and will be introduced directly by Galatasaray as their new signing in front of the fans.
Galatasaray and Osimhen Transfer Details
According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's report, Galatasaray is willing to pay the 80 million euro transfer fee that Napoli wants for Osimhen.
The nominal equivalent of Rp1.5 trillion will be divided into three variables. The amount of 40 million euros will be paid in advance, while almost half of the cost (35 million euros) will be installment over a year.
Meanwhile, the remaining 5 million euros will be paid by the Turkish league giant in the form of bonuses. Furthermore, Osimhen will sign a four-year contract in Istanbul, and Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has confirmed that he will receive an annual salary of 18 million euros.
Odd Clause Osimhen
Then, some clauses were also included in Osimhen's contract. The first clause is that Napoli will receive 10 percent of the proceeds from Osimhen's future sales.
Next, there is an "anti-Italy" clause, which prohibits selling Osimhen to a Serie A club for the next two years. Thus, the long transfer saga of Osimhen will soon come to an end.
Saga Transfer Osimhen Will Soon End
As known, Osimhen's relationship with Napoli began to deteriorate after the 2022/23 season, despite his role in securing the club's first Serie A title since 1990 and winning the Golden Boot with 26 goals.
He extended his contract in December 2023, becoming the highest-paid player in the club's history. However, injuries, the tense 2023/24 season, and Napoli's rejection of a 170 million euro offer from Al Ahli further worsened the rift.
Although there was interest from the Premier League and offers from Saudi Arabia, Osimhen prioritized returning to Galatasaray, even rejecting more profitable offers.
The transfer was delayed for several weeks because Napoli asked for payment plan certainty and guarantees.
What is the Next Step for Osimhen?
Osimhen is expected to join Galatasaray's training camp after the final documents are completed.
The club has not yet issued an official statement, but all indications show that he will be officially introduced at the beginning of next week.
Meanwhile, Napoli have removed Osimhen from their pre-season camp and signed Lorenzo Lucca as his replacement.
