Ji Han Na (Kim So Hyun) in the drama Good Boy (2025) is known as a former national shooting athlete who decided to switch careers and become a police officer. In addition to suffering from a serious illness, Han Na's decision to retire from sports was also influenced by his own aspirations, as he wanted to be like his father, who once worked in the police force.
Ayah of Han Na, Ji Ho Cheol (Kim Young Sung), was known as a capable police officer, but he died while on duty. Although the case of his death has long been closed, recently Han Na has discovered inconsistencies that make her suspicious that her father's death was not as simple as she had always thought. The following are several inconsistencies that are gradually coming to light.
In 2008, Ji Ho Cheol was handling a murder case involving a mafia member who was killed by gunfire, a case involving an international syndicate.
2. Some time after that, Ji Ho Cheol was found dead in his car, with a gunshot wound to the head which immediately indicated it was a murder.
3. This case is suspected to be related to the Russian mafia known as the "Black Cat", a notoriously brutal and mysterious crime syndicate.
Unfortunately, the investigation was closed with no further action due to lack of evidence, and it remains classified as an unsolved case.
5. The inconsistency becomes even more apparent when an gold watch is found among Ji Ho Cheol's belongings, which is a very rare and exclusive gold watch.
6. The watch is a limited production by Swiss craftsmen, who only make 12 units per year. Interestingly, the same model was last recorded entering Korea in 2003.
7. This fact has sparked significant speculation, as the same watch was also used by Min Joo Young and several other criminal figures in Insung City, indicating a possible connection between them.
The speculation was strengthened when a Russian mafia named Leo came to Korea. He is part of the syndicate from the Min Joo Young cartel and is known to be a member of the Black Cat.
