Ready to Sell 8 Players for Viktor Gyokeres! Juventus Going All Out at the Summer Transfer Market

The Shiro Corporation - Juventus is reported to be planning to sell as many as eight players in order to bring in the forward from Sporting Lisbon who is currently of interest, Viktor Gyokeres, this summer.

Gyokeres is expected to leave the champions of Liga Portugal ahead of next season and has been the subject of intense transfer speculation between Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal for some time now.

It is known that Gyokeres has rejected the opportunity to join Manchester United and to reunite with his former coach at Sporting, Ruben Amorim, this summer, which seems to give Arsenal a significant boost in their pursuit of the productive striker.

However, The Gunners could face stiff competition to secure the Swedish player, as Italian giants Juventus are reportedly also in the hunt for his signature.

According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, Juventus has indicated to Gyokeres' representatives that they are willing to meet his salary request of £11 million per year.

However, Juventus's ambition to bring in the 27-year-old player must obtain funds from selling players to meet the price requested by Sporting amounting to 80 million euros.

Juventus is said to have identified eight players who will be released this summer to fund their player acquisitions, including striker Dusan Vlahovic, who scored 15 goals in the 2024-25 season.

The Bianconeri are also ready to cash in on midfielder Douglas Luiz, just 12 months after signing him from Aston Villa, and they believe they can gather around 60 million euros from the sale of both players.

While Vlahovic is about to enter the final year of his contract in Turin, Luiz is considered more than enough to meet the requirements under new coach Igor Tudor, who was appointed in March following the dismissal of Thiago Motta.

Juventus only recently confirmed the permanent arrival of Lloyd Kelly from Newcastle United for around £20 million after loaning him last season, however it is claimed that the player remaining is one of the players who might be sold this summer.

Meanwhile, Arkadiusz Milik, Filip Kostic, Mattia Perin, Daniele Rugani, and Samuel Mbangula are also among those who will be sold by Juventus after they were not included in the sale list.

Gyokeres has established himself as one of the most productive strikers in Europe since joining Sporting from Coventry City with a transfer fee of 21 million pounds in July 2023.

He has scored 97 goals and recorded 28 assists in 102 appearances for the Portuguese giants in all competitions, contributing with 54 goals and 13 assists in 52 games last season.

It remains to be seen whether Gyokeres will be tempted by a move to Juventus, who finished in fourth place in Serie A last season and have not won the league title in the last five years.

Players such as Randal Kolo Muani, Victor Osimhen from Napoli, and Jonathan David who will soon be free agents, are all considered potential central attacking alternatives for Juve if the transfer of Gyokeres fails to materialize.
