The Shiro Corporation - Rachmat Irianto officially returned to Persebaya Surabaya. The lost child has returned to his home after three years of trying his luck in the City of Flowers, also known as Bandung.
The announcement of Irianto's return was officially conveyed by the Persebaya Surabaya social media account on Wednesday (18/6) morning. The son of Bejo Sugiantoro was featured in a video reuniting with the Green Force jersey he had not worn for a long time.
"Arek e moleh (his child is coming home)...!" writes the Official Persebaya account.
In addition, in the video, it can be seen that Irianto is wearing the Persebaya jersey again with the number 13 and walking onto the field at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium. The two-time Liga 1 champion didn't forget to share a brief statement indicating he has returned.
"I'm bravely going back (home), with one heart daring," Rian exclaimed in the Persebaya upload video.
The social media account of Persebaya also stated that Rachmat Irianto has signed a long-term contract with the club. However, the exact duration is unknown.
"Rachmat Irianto has signed a multi-year contract with Persebaya," said Persebaya.
"Welcome to Rian's house," added Persebaya.
Rachmat Irianto is a product of Persebaya Surabaya. He has been part of the Green Force since 2016 and has established his professional career at the club that is the pride of East Java's community.
However, Rian, Rachmat Irianto's nickname, briefly left for Persib Bandung in 2022. During his three seasons in the Flower City, he achieved great success by winning two league championships, in the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons.
Only, Rian's career was disrupted because in the 2024/2025 season he had to end the competition earlier due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury when playing against PSBS Biak in January 2025.
Currently, Irianto is still recovering from an ACL injury. He is expected to not be able to strengthen the Green Force at the beginning of the 2025/2026 season.
The rumor of Rian returning to Persebaya has been circulating for quite some time. Especially after he did not extend his contract with Persib Bandung, as he wanted to be closer to his family following the departure of his father, Bejo Sugiantoro, who passed away in February.
