TRIBUNABON.COM - PLN Unit Induk Wilayah Maluku and Maluku Utara (UIW MMU) ensures the reliability of electricity supply during the working visit of the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Prof. Dr. Rachmat Pambudy, in Ambon City on Monday (06/16/2025).
It is known that one of Minister Rachmat's important agendas during his visit was to directly inspect the Free Nutritious Meal program (MBG) at SD Negeri 76 and SD Negeri 45, Wayame Subdistrict.
During this visit, the Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas was also accompanied by the Governor of Maluku as well as the Mayor of Ambon.
All electrical readiness was carried out by PLN UIW MMU through PLN UP3 Ambon.
Staff actively carried out security for power supply at all activity locations to support the smooth running of the event and to maintain the comfort of all parties involved.
The General Manager of PLN UIW Maluku and Maluku Utara, Awat Tuhuloula, emphasized that all PLN elements in the Ambon area have been fully mobilized to ensure the reliability of electricity during the working visit of the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas.
"PLN is committed to ensuring that every state activity, particularly those that directly impact public welfare such as the Free Nutritious Meal program, runs without electricity constraints. The reliability of our system is a form of real support for inclusive and sustainable development," Awat explained.
I would like to add that this preparedness is in line with PLN's commitment to support the government's priority agenda, as well as to ensure the presence of reliable electricity in every aspect of people's lives.
Assistant Manager of Network and Construction at PLN UP3 Ambon, Mathijs Marinus James Pariama, acts as the PLN representative leading the reliability security of electricity supply in the field.
The standby team has been in place since early morning to ensure there are no disruptions during the series of events.
"We apply a layered security pattern, starting from distribution substation checks, standby generator readiness, to on-site technical staff alertness. This is part of PLN's commitment to support the smooth implementation of national strategic programs, particularly those that directly impact the education and welfare of children," said Mathijs.
PLN also ensures that the distribution system in the Wayame region is in a reliable condition and ready to handle additional load if there is an increase in electricity consumption during the implementation of the state activities.
This security step is a manifestation of PLN's commitment to support national development and to be present among the community, not only as an electricity provider, but also as a strategic partner in achieving regional progress. (*)
