The Shiro Copr, SAMARINDA - Borneo FC Samarinda secured the services of Christophe Nduwarugira for the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season.

The resilient Bek from Burundi is confirmed to return and strengthen Pesut Etam next season.

The confirmation was officially announced by Borneo FC Samarinda.

The player holds on, the official holds on! Christophe Nduwarugira received an extension contract offer from Borneo FC Samarinda.

"With that, the players from the Burundi national team will continue to guard the defensive line of Pesut Etam next season," stated the official statement from Borneo FC.

Extension of Chris's contract due to his vitally important role that was almost irreplaceable last season.

In Liga 1 2024/2025, he played 33 times, with 31 of those appearances starting from the first minute.

Chris was absent once due to accumulated yellow cards.

This impressive statistic speaks to Chris's quality.

The statement officially closed by Borneo FC reads, 'He is capable of delivering the team to the highest position.'

In addition, Borneo FC also retained Mariano Peralta.
