The Shiro Corporation A seller gives away free soup, hundreds of portions every Tuesday.

The seller of chicken soup is Haritsah and her husband.

The Warung Soto Ayam Silayur is located in the Silayur area, Ngaliyan, Semarang City, Central Java.

Every Tuesday, their soup shop provides a free soup service, complete with fritters and drinks, for anyone without any conditions.

The event attracted many residents who were willing to queue up to taste the free soup.

Haritsah explained that this initiative began from a simple desire to consistently give charity.

"Actually, it's not a vow, but we want to have a continuous practice. Although small, but regular," he said when interviewed on Tuesday (17/6/2025), as reported from Kompas.com .

Initially, Haritsah considered Friday, like most 'Blessed Friday' programs.

However, due to various commitments and limited energy, she and her husband finally chose Tuesday as the special day for charity.

"The first Tuesday was still quiet as there were no banners yet. But last Tuesday it was immediately full. It could reach up to 650 portions of soup that were distributed," he said.

The restaurant does not restrict who can eat for free.

From ojek online (online motorcycle taxi) services, housewives, office workers, to students, everyone is served politely and equally.

"We don't discriminate. Anyone can eat. The important thing is to come and be willing," he explained.

Some visitors who came by car initially felt reluctant, but were eventually informed by the parking attendant that the food was truly free for anyone.

"We deliberately put up banners so that everyone knows this is not a trap, but charity," he added.

Haritsah has been involved in the culinary world since before the pandemic, trying out various ventures from nasi lemak to chocolate drinks.

However, the local residents' suggestion directed it towards soup, and the business eventually continued to develop until today.

I admit to having tried to start a business in various places, but only this time feeling really able to be consistent because it is being run by herself alongside her husband.

On ordinary days, the turnover of his shop can be fluctuating, but on weekends it can reach sales of up to Rp 11 million per day.

However, for him, success is not just about money.

"If what we seek is only material things, we will surely get tired quickly. But if our intention is to worship, it feels different," he said.

The free soup program will continue every Tuesday from 06:30 until around 13:00 WIB.

In addition to soup, residents can also enjoy fritters and drinks for free.

Previously, a figure of an honest windmill seller who freely gave away his goods even when there were few buyers went viral.

The traditional toy seller is named Pak Dedi (51).

The sincerity of Pak Dedi bore sweet fruit after he met with the police.

I am also grateful for receiving abundant blessings.

The story of Pak Dedi went viral on social media after being uploaded by the police account @bangrizky_goww on Thursday (3/13/2025).

In the video, it initially shows a traditional toy seller sitting with their wares.

She looks like she is waiting hopefully for someone to be interested in buying her wares.

The toy seller sat by the busy roadside that was frequently passed by vehicles.

Nevertheless, no one approached him to buy his wares.

Sometimes he stands up and walks around to offer his wares to the people nearby.

In the midst of the scorching sun and while fasting, it remains enthusiastic about seeking sustenance.

During the quiet period with few customers, he got up to leave until suddenly he was approached by Bripka Rizky Hikmat Setiawan.

The expression on his face suddenly became cheerful as he was approached by that police officer.

The traditional toy seller is known as Mr. Dedi.

Every day, Pak Dedi earns his living by selling traditional toys that he makes himself.

I use plastic drink glasses to make wind chimes.

Usually, Pak Dedi moves from area to area when selling his goods.

I admit that usually sells in Cimahi, Dago to Ciumbuleuit, Bandung.

Interestingly, it turns out that Mr. Dedi does not set a price for his merchandise.

I admit selling the windmills for Rp 1000, Rp 2000 up to Rp 3000.

However, sometimes he gives away his merchandise for free to children who don't have money.

"Sometimes Rp 1,000, Rp 2,000, Rp 3,000, and sometimes if there's a child who cries, it's free," said Pak Dedi, according to TribunJabar.

Indeed, Mr. Dedi intended that as part of his charity to avoid loss.

Instead of being sad, Pak Dedi expresses gratitude for every bit of sustenance he receives.

"Rezeki mah ada aja pak, Alhamdulillah," he said.

Even though there are few buyers, Pak Dedi is seeking his fortune while giving alms.

This made Brigpol Rizky Hikmat Setiawan feel touched.

"So, sir, while looking for livelihood, we also do good deeds, it's extraordinary, sir," said Bripka Rizky Hikmat Setiawan while patting Mr. Dedi's shoulder.

The 51-year-old woman sells traditional toys every day to support her family at home.

I have a wife and 3 children who depend on him for support.

Even though he's just selling toys, Pak Dedi still feels grateful to be able to earn a living.

Even in just good health, he should be thankful.

After listening to Mr. Dedi's heartbreaking story, Bripka Rizky Hikmat Setiawan seemed moved.

I provide a sum of money along with basic necessities for Mr. Dedi to bring.

Mr. Dedi looked cheerful as he received the unexpected income.

I also did not forget to express gratitude and pray for the well-being of the police officers in Cimahi.
