BUS-TRUCK - Foton launched the Galaxy 9, this is not just a truck but truly serves as an "intelligent heavy truck."
Presenting with a combination of conceptual design, advanced engineering, and state-of-the-art technology. All wrapped in the theme "Future-Inspired Design with Aerodynamic Technology."
Because there is an aerospace element, the head truck is claimed to be the most aerodynamic currently. The air resistance coefficient value is at 0.348. This is much lower than the average head truck which has a value of 0.618.
Aerodynamic forces become very important for a commercial vehicle. They have a big impact on energy consumption, which also greatly affects the driving range. This applies to both flat and winding roads, including downhill sections.
For the Galaxy 9 cabin, it is quite large, providing comfort for the flight attendants and crew. Its dimensions are composed as follows: length 2,125 mm, height 2,450 mm, and width 1,538 mm.
Inside, it features a rest compartment with a mattress size of 1,240 mm, the largest in its class. It is also claimed to provide more comfort for longer routes with the Galaxy 9.
Not only that, the availability of a control panel on a 12.3-inch high-resolution screen can make the driver easier to monitor the truck's condition and also the conditions during the journey.
Not to mention the 'dust-proof' designed cabin created by Foton that can withstand the negative impacts of extreme weather.
As a truck from the future here today, the energy consumption of the truck headquartered in Beijing and founded in 1996 is at a level of 97.5 percent for main power when consuming electric energy.
Savings of up to 99.6 percent are also guaranteed for its conventional engine.
The reduction in energy consumption is also achieved through a total weight reduction of 350 kilograms. This results in one of the crucial aspects for a truck, the braking distance in 'dead brake' condition, being 26.5 meters.
The "Non-slip Steering System" feature allows the advanced truck to be better controlled by the driver, even when maneuvering on difficult terrain.
The Galaxy 9 battery can be recharged from 30 percent to 80 percent in 18 minutes with fast charging using the power charging pattern.
This truck has at least 28 smart driving features and also 800 smart cabin features.
Voice control, navigation guidance, and entertainment features. All of these are created from Foton's experience in safety, comfort, as well as their mastery of automotive technology.
Before being released to the market, Galaxy 9 had already undergone testing for up to 2 million kilometers with 500 thousand simulations of actual conditions.
For the time being, this truck has been marketed in regions such as the Middle East, Central Asia, and Latin America. (EW)
