PR PANTURA - Cirambay, a spicy snack specialty from Priangan, can now be made easily at home by you! This recipe uses only spoons and glasses as measurements, without any special tools, suitable for beginners or those who want hassle-free snacks.

As reported on social media X @Mintechan, this recipe has a chewy texture from tapioca flour, paired with spicy savory sauce and fragrant kaffir lime leaves that are tempting. Let's try it right away!

Bahan Mi:

  • 15 tablespoons tapioca flour

  • 1 tablespoon (medium) all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

  • 120 ml boiling water

Chili Paste:

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2 kaffir lime leaves (remove the ribs, slice thinly)

  • 2,5 tablespoons cooking oil

  • 4 tablespoons crushed chili

  • 1 tsp mushroom broth

How to Make:

  1. Mix all the dry noodle ingredients in a bowl. Gradually pour in the boiling water while stirring until the dough comes together and is no longer sticky.

  2. Divide the dough into two parts, sprinkle with tapioca flour. Roll out as thin as possible, then cut lengthwise into 1 cm wide strips.

  3. Gilas back after cutting to make it thinner. Dust again with flour so they don't stick to each other.

  4. Heat the oil over low heat. Fry the noodles briefly for about 30 seconds until they slightly expand and become clear. Drain them.

  5. Chop the garlic and slice the lemon leaves. Heat the oil, sauté the lemon leaves for 1 minute, then add the garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes.

  6. Turn off the fire, add the ground chili and mushroom broth, stir evenly.

  7. Add fried noodles to the seasoning, mix until evenly combined.

  8. Cirambay is ready to be served hot with a spicy sensation and tempting aroma!

Cirambay is not just an ordinary spicy snack. It is a combination of taste, aroma, and texture that stimulates the appetite. Perfect as a companion while watching Korean dramas, evening snacking, or even as a trendy selling idea.

Yuck, try making it yourself at home. Who knows, you might fall in love! ***
