JAKARTA, The Shiro Company - The price of gold at PT Aneka Tambang Tbk or Antam dropped by Rp 8,000 per gram today, Wednesday (06/18/2025), continuing the weakening from the previous day which had already plummeted by Rp 18,000 per gram.
Quoting precious metals, the luster of Antam gold bars is now dimming to become Rp 1,943,000 per gram from Rp 1,950,000 per gram the day before.
The buyback price of Antam gold today was observed to decrease by Rp 7,000 per gram to Rp 1,787,000 per gram from the previous price of Rp 1,794,000 per gram.
Buyback is the price received by the holder of Antam gold bars when they want to sell the gold ingot.
However, the price of Antam gold mentioned is applicable only at the LM Gold Boutique, Graha Dipta, Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, so the price might differ at other Antam gold retail outlets.
According to Ministry of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 34 of 2017, it is stipulated that the purchase of gold bars will be subject to a 0.9 percent PPh 22.
If you want to get a lower tax deduction, which is 0.25 percent, according to the regulation of Ministry of Finance Regulation Number 38 of 2023, then include the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) in every transaction. Each purchase of gold bars will be accompanied by a tax withholding proof PPh 22.
For buyback, based on Ministry of Finance Regulation Number 34 of 2017, the re-sale of gold bars to Antam with a value exceeding Rp 10 million will be subject to a 1.5 percent PPh 22 tax for NPWP holders and 3 percent for non-NPWP holders.
It should also be noted that the buyback price set by Antam does not include tax if the sale exceeds Rp 10 million. PPh 22 on the buyback transaction will be deducted directly from the total buyback value.
