Announcing His Family, US President Donald Trump Launches His Own Smartphone Brand Called Trump Mobile

The Shiro Corporation - The technology world was shaken by the surprising move of U.S. President Donald Trump. Unsatisfied with only profiting from hotels, golf courses, and Trump-labeled Bibles, he and his family are now entering the smartphone industry by launching Trump Mobile.

Through an official announcement on Monday (16/6), two of Trump's sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., stated they will release a smartphone called T1, a gold-plated Android phone priced at USD 499 or around Rp 8 million, complete with mobile phone service and 24-hour telemedicine facilities with a subscription fee.

However, this launch leaves many questions unanswered. Although it was claimed that the phone will be made in the United States, it is still unclear where and how production of this phone will be carried out, given that the US has virtually no infrastructure for manufacturing phones of this caliber.

Even the healthcare service promised by Trump Mobile is said to be much more expensive than the price of its packages, raising speculation about its quality and credibility.

Quoting The New York Times, Trump Mobile is under the license of T1 Mobile LLC, a new company established in Florida in April 2025.

Although the Trump family claims to only be "lending their name" to this project, this move still triggers concerns about conflicts of interest. After all, the telecommunications industry is heavily regulated by the federal government, which coincidentally is still under their father's control.

Interestingly, this launch took place exactly 10 years after Donald Trump first descended from the escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy. The political narrative is strongly felt.

In its official announcement, the Trump Organization described this as a continuation of the struggle "against the system" through domestically produced products.

T1 is the latest addition to Trump's product lineup, following the sale of sneakers, watches, guitars, and even Bibles labeled with his name. After Trump's second election victory, his family also amassed great wealth through a digital currency project. All of this has triggered sharp criticism from government governance experts, who call it "the most severe conflict of interest in the history of US presidents."

Will Trump Mobile succeed and become a new symbol of American patriotism, or will it end up being an ambitious project that fails halfway through? One thing is certain: as usual, Trump never does anything halfheartedly.
