Agus "Gondrong" Promotes Free Health Check-up Services in Temanggung

The Shiro Corporation The implementation of the Free Health Check-up Program (CKG) in Temanggung Regency has reached up to 69 thousand people so far, indicating that its quantitative achievement has not yet been maximized.

One of the strategies implemented is the method of going door-to-door even to villages, with the hope that this program can reach its target of 100 percent before the end of the year.

Regent Agus Setyawan instructed that all related agencies continuously improve their performance in supporting the implementation of CKG.

Agus Gondrong, the familiar name of the Regent of Temanggung, revealed that there are still many people who have not realized the importance of conducting regular health check-ups.

Generally, new residents will visit health facilities after experiencing symptoms of an illness.

"There are some communities that, despite being healthy, are overly cautious about health check-ups. Some genuinely want to be able to anticipate what they might feel in their bodies. So there is a desire to get checked to know. But most are afraid that their illness will be discovered, and this is a major problem," he said.

I would like to add that the local government apparatus, starting from the district level down to the village, will continue to encourage the public to regularly undergo health check-ups.

Through this CKG program, it is hoped that the quality of public health can improve significantly.

"Government from the regency level down to the district level, village government will always remind people to do free health checks. Hopefully by the end of this year, Temanggung Regency can reach 100 percent. The percentage keeps rising if even those at eight percent aren't counted yet," he added.

The Head of the Health Office of Temanggung Regency, dr. Intan Pandanwangi Bandanarawati, explained that until now, CKG has only reached around 69 thousand people, or equivalent to 8.7 percent of the total population which amounts to 811,798 people.

Therefore, he urged the community to immediately take advantage of the CKG services at the Puskesmas or through coordination at the village level.***
