The Supreme Prosecutors' Office said that the seizure of 11,880,351,802,619 IDR from five corporations under the Wilmar Group in relation to this corruption case involving crude palm oil (CPO) exports is the largest seizure in the history of Indonesia.

"Perhaps, today is the press conference regarding the seizure of money, in its history, this is the largest (the amount seized and the quantity of evidence)," said Head of the Public Relations Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, during a press conference at the Round Building Jampidsus Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/17/2025).

Based on observations at the scene, out of the total seized money of Rp 11 trillion, investigators presented cash amounting to Rp 2 trillion.

The Rp 100,000 bill is placed in a plastic package with each bag containing Rp 1 billion.

This pile of money rises up to fill half of the round room of the newly renovated Jampidsus building.

In fact, the height of these piles exceeds the heads of the investigators handling the case. The amount of evidence presented today is several times greater than what was shown during previous seizure press conferences.

On Thursday (5/8/2025), the Corruption Eradication Commission displayed seized money totaling Rp 479 billion that was confiscated from two subsidiaries of PT Darmex Plantations, namely PT Delimuda Perkasa and PT Taluk Kuantan Perkasa. At that time, the seized money was piled up in front of the investigators.

The height is just a few inches and does not surround the investigator who is giving a statement to the media.

However, the total seizures from PT Duta Palma Group related to the alleged corruption and money laundering case in the palm oil business activities in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau, during the period 2004-2022, amount to Rp 6.8 trillion.

This evidence has been presented several times to the media since this case was taken over by the Attorney General's Office.

A fantastically large sum of money was previously displayed in the case of corruption in sugar imports that implicated the former Minister of Trade Thomas Trikasih Lembong alias Tom Lembong.

On Tuesday (25/2/2025), investigators presented seized funds of IDR 565.3 billion, which is a return from 9 corporations suspected of enjoying the proceeds of corruption.

This pile of money also only occupies the front side of the panelists' table, not reaching to surround the investigators. According to calculations from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPKP), the state loss caused by this case is Rp 578 billion.

This means, there is a difference between the money returned and the total loss, which is IDR 12.7 billion. This difference is said to occur because the loss did not happen in 2016, but rather at a time when Tom Lembong was not serving as Minister of Trade.
