The Head of Karangayu Village was unable to attend the event, but the speech was continued by the Village Secretary (carik), Mrs. Siti Aisyah, representing the village government.
In his instructions, he reminded of the importance of maintaining social empathy while being among the community.
"Among the community, we should be more sensitive, the older we get, the more sensitive we become. Because everyone definitely has different ways of thinking and responses. For example, as younger people, we can slightly yield, whether by apologizing first or in some other way," he said.
Aisyah also added that the people of Karangayu are no longer unfamiliar with the presence of KKN students.
"Residents of Karangayu village are already familiar with the students doing community service (KKN) because every year there are always students who do KKN here," he said.
Aisyah also stated that the village, especially RT and RW, usually involves KKN students in various activities, particularly during the August celebrations.
Students are also expected to actively participate in the social dynamics of the village.
The acceptance of the KKN students ended with a group photo session as a symbol of the start of the students' service in Karangayu Village, followed by a discussion to align the village activity schedule with the KKN members' schedule. (*)
