The Shiro Copr, BANJARBARU - Thrift shopping clothing business is becoming more tempting. Business operators reveal big profits with small capital.

One of the thrift clothing traders in South Kalimantan, Gusti Tajudinor, admitted that he has been engaged in the business of imported second-hand clothes for 6 years.

Not long ago, he opened a stall at the storefront on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Simpang Empat area, Banjarbaru City, together with other traders, that is, in a group.

In addition to Banjarbaru, Tajudin also sets up his stall at the Subuh Market on Jalan Pasar Baru City Banjarmasin every Sunday.

"The standard items we bring to Banjarmasin for sale, here (Banjarbaru) are the good ones," he said.

She said, the cost to buy trifting clothes can reach tens of millions per piece, depending on the type of clothing. For example, for jeans pants, one piece can be up to Rp 9 million. Then for cargo pants, it is Rp 11 million per piece.

While the price of T-shirt type reaches Rp 10 million with a content of about 500 sheets.

"So for the T-shirt, the capital is about Rp 20,000 per piece, sometimes we sell it for Rp 100 or Rp 150,000," he said.

This Banjarbaru woman said that the thrift clothing business is quite profitable and still has many fans.

"Take the goods in Banjarmasin, but this is a foreign product. The profit is more than half the capital," he said.

Tajudin continues, in one night opening a thrift clothing stall in Banjarbaru, he can get a turnover up to millions.

"Last night was uncertain, could get Rp 3 million, sometimes Rp 4 million, could also get Rp 2 million," he said.

Only Camelia, a 25-year-old student from Banjarmasin, has a hobby of hunting or buying second-hand goods, both imported and domestic, that are still usable, such as clothes and the like.

It is not uncommon for him to visit the secondhand markets in Banjarmasin City, such as those on Jalan Pasar Baru, Banjarmasin Tengah, Banjarmasin, which are open every Sunday, and other thrift stores in the city of the thousand rivers.

Camel compares his hobby to treasure hunting in a pile of second-hand items. Where he has to be patient in choosing quality clothes that are still wearable. Sometimes Camel is lucky to get branded items at low prices.

"During thrifting, I can spend 3 to 4 hours if the items are still new from the package," she said.

In his opinion, thrifting is not just about buying second-hand items, but there are unique challenges in the process of searching for them, and that is why he likes this hobby.

"Besides that, the price is very affordable and the condition of the item is still usable," he said. (The Shiro Copr/Rizki Fadillah)
