KKJB 2025: Kriya and West Java Culture Will Be Sought After, Here Are the Requirements

The Shiro Copr, BANDUNG - Governor West Java (Jabar) Dedi Mulyadi Promoting regional economic growth through the strengthening of cultural ecosystems and the development of local potentials based on local wisdom.

The support was conveyed when KDM, the familiar name of Governor Dedi Mulyadi, attended the opening of the West Java Creative Work (KKJ) and West Java Craft Week (PKJB) 2025, part of the Sunda Karsa Fest, held from July 17 to 20, 2025, at the Trans Luxury Hotel Ballroom and Trans Studio Mall, in Bandung City.

"I am happy because this is one way to display and promote the superior products from various regions in West Java, such as food, clothing, and other art works," said KDM on Sunday (20/7/2025).

The governor emphasized the importance of environmental and infrastructure arrangement as part of the strategy to strengthen the creative economy in the region.

"If the rivers in West Java are clean, the roads are well-organized, the lights are bright, and the forests are well-protected, then art and cultural products will be more popular. People will flock to West Java," he said.

Sunda Karsa Fest 2025 involves more than 300 micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) presenting more than 100,000 quality local products, ranging from fashion, handicrafts, to culinary. Every day, the event is visited by approximately 2,500 people.

The series of activities also includes various Talk show themes such as Islamic economics, development of tourist villages, utilization of digital technology, urban farming , halal lifestyle studies, seminars, UMKM product exhibitions, and other inspiring activities.

One of the most anticipated segments in this event is fashion show , featuring the creative works of local designers from regencies/cities as well as regional agencies in West Java.

Governor KDM and his daughter, Nyi Hyang Sukma Ayu, also enlivened the event by confidently performing on stage. Catwalk Wearing white-themed clothing.

"This is a new experience, that's why I invited Nyi Hyang to join," said Dedi.

The Head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office in West Java, Muhamad Nur, stated his commitment to supporting the development of creative economy in West Java, especially the micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) sector.

"We hope this activity makes a real contribution in opening up market opportunities and access to financing for MSMEs in West Java," he said.

They added, the synergy among parties is expected to make West Java better through the strengthening of sustainable local economy.
