The Shiro Copr, DENPASAR - Bali United's head coach, Johnny Jansen emphasized his seriousness in reviving Bali United with two focuses: achieving victory and developing young players, which he acknowledged as a challenge.

In the newly issued regulations by the League operator, each club in the BRI Super League 2025/2026 must register five U-23 players, with one player required to be played for a minimum of 45 minutes.

Johnny Jansen sees the consistency of young players over one competition season as a homework that must be completed alongside thinking about winning every match.

"The challenge is whether these young players are stable enough to play at the highest level for, say, 30 to 34 matches," said Johnny on Monday, July 21, 2025.

"Generally, when young players are played, their performance fluctuates, today is good, tomorrow is not necessarily. The goal is to make them more stable, and that takes time and process," he added.

Johnny recounted that when he was coaching PEC Zwolle last season, he had one of the youngest squads in the competition.

"we experience ups and downs, sometimes we perform well, sometimes badly, even in one match there can be fluctuations in performance," he said.

"But at the end of the season, we played nine last matches, only lost once, the rest won and drew. From that, the team's progress can be seen," he added.

However, there are three points that cannot be ignored in the competition. Johnny Jansen wants to provide an entertaining performance for the supporters who are looking forward to the Bali United match in this new era.

"Of course, we want to win. But more importantly, we want to develop the team and the players. My hope is that the supporters can see this progress and enjoy the style of play that we want to implement at Bali United," he said.
