The Hajj Group Plane from Depok is Steril from Bombs, Kemenag Ensures the Rhythm of Repatriation is Not Disrupted

After a thorough inspection, no bomb was found on the aircraft transporting hajj pilgrims from Depok City, West Java.
The Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation at the Ministry of Religion Hilman Latief expressed gratitude that no bomb was found on the aircraft with the route Jeddah (JED) to Soekarno-Hatta (CGK).
After being declared sterile, the aircraft flew back to Jakarta on Wednesday (18/6) morning around 08:30 WIB. Hilman explained that the Saudi Arabian Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) continues to coordinate with Saudia Airlines regarding the plan for the next flights of Indonesian hajj pilgrims.
He emphasized regarding the aircraft security procedures at Kualanamu Airport, Hilman said that this is fully handed over to the airport authorities.
"The security procedures were handed over to the relevant authorities at Kualanamu Airport, including the police, airlines, and airport authorities," Hilman emphasized in his statement on Tuesday (17/6) evening.
He said that the condition check of the pilgrims and their belongings was carried out according to the applicable procedures. Hilman recounted that while the plane was being inspected, the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who were part of flight group 12 from Jakarta-Bekasi embarkation (JKS 12) were resting at a local hotel.
The group from Depok city has also received catering facilities. "Kemenag continues to coordinate with Saudia Airlines to maintain the rhythm of repatriation flights for pilgrims in the next group," he explained.
Hilman said that the Ministry of Religion hopes the pilgrims remain calm, do not panic, and entrust the handling of the problem to the authorities. The Ministry of Religion also hopes that the pilgrims can soon return to their families safely and happily.
As provided, the Saudia aircraft took off from Jeddah airport on Monday (16/6) at 21:00 Saudi Arabia Time (WAS). The flight was scheduled to land at Soekarno-Hatta airport on Tuesday (17/6) at 16:10 WIB. However, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Kualanamu airport due to a bomb threat by an unknown person.
