Kylian Mbappe Misses Training Ahead of Real Madrid vs Al Hilal Match in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The Shiro Corporation Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid's star forward, was absent from the team's open training session on Tuesday (17/6) local time due to fever, just one day before Los Blancos' opening match in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, as reported. ANTARA .
Madrid is scheduled to face Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal in Group H match at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, on Wednesday (June 18) local time or Thursday (June 19) early morning WIB.
Madrid coach Xabi Alonso said they will make a final decision regarding Mbappe's involvement ahead of the match. "Kylian feels a bit better this morning, but is not yet fit enough," Alonso said, as quoted on the FIFA website in Jakarta.
The weather is very hot. Let's see how it is tomorrow.
According to the club spokesperson, Mbappe did not participate in the training session held in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The absence of the 26-year-old player is a major concern, considering his outstanding contribution last season with 43 goals in all competitions.
In addition to Mbappe, Madrid also has the potential to play without some key players such as Antonio Rudiger, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, and Eder Militao.
"Other players are in different recovery phases," said Alonso.
Rudiger tried hard throughout last season and is in good recovery. He may return sooner, but is not necessarily ready to join the squad immediately. Camavinga is recovering faster than expected, while Carvajal and Militao still need more time.
The FIFA Club World Cup tournament this year is a significant moment for Xabi Alonso, who has just taken over as the head coach of Madrid, to win his first trophy with the club.
Madrid has strengthened their squad by signing right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold from England, as well as young defender Dean Huijsen, following the previous season which ended without major titles, finishing second in LaLiga and being eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
