HP Ramparts of Female Police Officers, 2 Robbers Caught in Tanah Abang

JAKARTA, The Shiro Copr - Two robbers were apprehended by the police after snatching a mobile phone belonging to a female police officer (polwan) in the Bendungan Hilir (Bendhil) area, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

The two perpetrators, initials FR (24) and DFN (28), were arrested by the Precise Buser Team of the National Crime Investigation Unit at the Jakarta Central Police District after the victim reported to the police.

"Both perpetrators were successfully apprehended after we received the report," said Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Chief of Metropolitan Jakarta Central Police, in a written statement on Wednesday (18/6/2025).

"This is our commitment that there is no room for street crime, let alone those targeting law enforcement officers," he added.

The robbery occurred on Friday (9/5/2025) around 19:30 WIB. At that time, the victim with initials NH (21) was standing by the roadside while holding a pink iPhone 13.

Suddenly, two perpetrators came from behind on a motorcycle and immediately snatched the victim's phone.

FR, known to the residents of Kebon Melati, acted as the driver as well as the executor of the snatch theft. Meanwhile, DFN, a resident of Kramat Senen, played the role of an accomplice.

FR was first captured in the Bongkaran area, Tanah Abang, on Tuesday (6/17/2025) around 6:30 PM WIB. One hour later, DFN was also captured in Kramat Pulo, Senen.

"The evidence includes one pink iPhone 13 belonging to the victim, which we have secured," said AKBP Muhammad Firdaus, Chief of the Criminal Investigation Division at the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police District.

To the police, the perpetrator admitted to selling the stolen phone to someone with the initials DK for 600,000 IDR. The money from the sale was used for daily needs.

Firdaus revealed that FR is not a new perpetrator. He admitted that he had carried out similar actions several times in the Jakarta area.

"FR admits to carrying out other snatching incidents in several places, including Jalan Binus in West Jakarta and twice in the Benhil area," said Firdaus.

Here is the list of criminal acts recognized by FR:

• Jalan Binus, Jakarta Barat – Samsung A13 (April 2025)

• Jalan Benhil, Jakarta Pusat – Infinix (May 9, 2025)

• Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat – Infinix (June 3, 2025)

• Benhil, Jakarta Pusat – iPhone 12 (June 15, 2025)

The police are also investigating the receiving network that often receives stolen goods from the perpetrators.

Both perpetrators have now been designated as suspects and are charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding aggravated theft. The maximum penalty is up to seven years in prison.
