Family Court Judge in Way Kanan Requests Judge to Focus on Planning of the Murder by the Defendant in the Shooting Case

LAMPUNG, The Shiro Copr - The legal representatives of three police officers killed in a shooting in Way Kanan Regency, Lampung, have asked the military judges to focus on uncovering the planning of the murder by the defendants.

In this case, three police officers, namely AKP (deceased) Lisyanto (Kapolsek Negara Batin), Aipda (deceased) Petrus Apriyanto, and Briptu (deceased) Ghalib Surya Ganta, were shot dead while raiding an illegal cockfighting operation.

Two members of the TNI have become defendants in this case, namely Corporal Second Class (Kopda) Basarsyah and Sergeant First Class Yun Heri Lubis.

The legal representatives for the three victims, Putri Maya Rumanti, said they hope the panel of judges will delve deeper into the elements of premeditated murder in this case.

According to Putri, this is because the testimony of Peltu Yun Heri Lubis during the second hearing on June 16, 2025, seemed to be an attempt to obscure the actual facts.

In his testimony, Peltu Lubis mainly provided information regarding the deposit issue to AKP Lisyanto.

"If there really is permission from the Kapolsek, it must be proven. According to our information, on the day of the incident, Mr. Kapolsek was not present. Therefore, we will endeavor to bring in additional witnesses to prove this," he said when contacted on Wednesday (18/6/2025).

Putri believes that discussing the matter of a money deposit in the range of Rp 100,000-Rp 200,000, which was mentioned, actually obscures the core of the case.

"The circulation of money from this cockfight can reach hundreds of millions. Therefore, it's impossible for the permit to be valued at only Rp 100,000. However, we do not want to get bogged down in the issue of that payment. Our focus is on proving that the defendant's actions were premeditated," he said.

He added that his side asked the military court judges to focus more on the planning of the murder carried out by the defendant.

"We hope that the judges can see comprehensively that the defendant's actions were not spontaneous. There are strong indications that everything was planned from the outset at their home," he said.

Putri refers to the fact that the defendant carried a firearm to secure the cockfighting arena.

According to him, the action demonstrates intent and thorough preparation, not just gambling.
